Thanks WealthySoup.

Just came in from the studio from making pots and to grab some quick food.. and saw this posting...... yippee!

I love high speed DSL... took about 1 minute to download  Wink.

I'll get to play with it this weekend and see if I'll go for the "whole enchilada".

BTW... this should be down in "Payware".

This is definitely one of those programs that is a "try the demo first" kind of program. And thusly I am using said demo.

So far it is an interesting experience, and a very original program. I can definitely see it being a virtual airlines program for the online pilot, as well as adding some immersion into the general flight simming community.

Is it worth the price? That Im not sure yet, however time will tell as I tinker around with it seeing what all it can do, yet I do admit it makes the long haul flight a bit better.

Do FS Passengers work with the 9.1 "No CD" executable, or do you have to go back to the normal executable?  Thanks!

John,

It just adds a new dimension to the sim.

Ive started my own company and bought the PMDG Beech 1900C to fly around.

I tried the world travel company and bought a Posky 747 lol. Im just playing around with everything so far and it would appear there is a bit more to it than what meets the eye.

Give the demo a whirl and try out what you can with it as it doesnt seem to affect frame rates or the sim at all, at least for me it doesnt.

Took the plunge and bought it after the demo.
No effect on frame rates, but some people do have the problem however the solution is on their site.
I have started out my company with a 727 although i might redo that and start out smaller and work up.
First flight tupelo to memphis, all ok until i overspeed the flaps, fspassengers registers this and disables the flaps so have to declare emergency and do a fast landing. You have to pay to have the aircraft fixed aswell.

I wanted to fly through a hurricane Cheesy

Only issue I am having is my crew voices arent working, so not sure what is the malfunction

Something to add to this...

One thing I like about FSP is there are planes that will get a lot more airtime now.

Started a company and have only flown the PMDG Beech 1900C for the last 24 hours Cheesy

Oh and I have voices again. Power went out last night and when I turned my PC on again I left the settings as they were. I think I dont have a certain voice pack and that caused the lack of voices

Yeah I'm having a hard spending that much. I can only get about 1 game every 6~8 months and  I'm poor and to me that is a lot of money. I was hoping, unrealistically, it would have been in the $25.00 range maybe even as high as $30.00.

Whiler I haven't had any time to install it yet.... from reading the docs and "teasers" I think the price tends to reflect the broad scope and the development time.

What's that saying........ "You get what you pay for."

So while it is a significant purchase...... my guess is that the developer will not get rich on a per labor hour basis.

best,

Just got the trial...liking it a lot

Love the ability to add own 'logos' for Company and Pilot, nice touch there. Smiley
I've also changed the ambient music to something a little more 'me' Wink

Haven't tried the 'missions' yet, but I'm loving this trial enough as it is.

I have my own version of American Airlines, simply called 'American' (go figure Roll Eyes), and own a Mooney Bravo, Cessna 182 and Piper Warrior...flights are umm...fun, especially as :
A) I can only depart from San Fran
B) I haven't got the hours or points to gain the next piloting level yet, meaning I'm stuck with SEP, under 1500Kg in weight
C) No decent autopilot

I'm definately gonna get the full version...when is another question! Roll Eyes

Well I have started an airline called SaVas AIR Cheesy

So far in the fleet there is a Beech 1900C passenger and we have upgraded to a Boeing 717

(I just took a couple of repaints that were similar in color for each, removed the old lettering in PSP7 and added SaVas AIR) so now it feels even that much more "realistic"

However I dont like what happens after a long flight and you land have everything shut down and you get an aircraft 'hop' causing all your passengers to say they would never fly again your airline lol Not the fault of FSP though

Looks and sounds like a great program but unfortunatly I answered my own question...And what a waist of 2 hours for me.  WILL NOT WORK for FS2002 Sad

Wish they would make a version for both..A lot of people still have 02 because of 04's requirements...Oh well...Back to an empty cabin I guess Sad

I downloaded the demo and think I will go for my 32€

I made 3 flights so far
- Default demo flight, I just changed the 737 for my favorite 727. Everything went well, just before the descent, I paused the flight and went have a dinner with some pals. I came back later to resume the flight, I was a bit.. hum... "tired". Good descent and approach anyway but I broke my passengers ass and my left landing gear with a "landing" at -600 ft/m

Fortunately, my company manager did not notice why it happened...

Second try the day after, I keep serious this time, all went good except an overspeed for flap extension of about 11 kts.

Third try from San Francisco to Monterrey (about 80 nm) with a beechcraft D18. On small aircrafts, with default setting, you have no crew, thus, up to you to manage with the fasten seat belt sign. Off course, I forgot it ...

My general impression:  Smiley Smiley Cheesy 8)
Fully positive so far.
With the detailed report. You have a feedback of your flight and then can follow your skill.

This add on make the flight session very "immersive", with the sounds while loading the plane, taxiing with music, crew anoucment in various steps of the flight and th co-pilot altitude and speed anoucement., I felt really "into it". You even hear the flight attendent bringing you a coffee cup by time  Smiley (helas, she does not appears in the rear view...)

For now, I kept the default settings and the pre set company. I still have to try my own set up and see.

However at 99.99% chances, I will buy it.

I got the demo and on my first flight to lax, i took a bird strike into one of my engines, i had no idea anything happened until the engine flamed out about 10 mins in, I had to declare an emergency and divert to monterey, thats was cool getting a failure and having no idea it was coming, passenger satisfaction was 100%, id buy this if i had 40 bucks but i dont so i have to wait.

WOW... I just spent some time looking thru the forums on the FSPassengers website.  From what I am seeing there ....................... the complexity of the program seems amazing.

The pricetag seems justified when you just read about some of the stuff it is capable of.

Can't wait until I get time to actually TRY it.

best,

Not sure if it works with the PSS airbus series or not, but I have found no issues with any of the handful of aircraft I have tried it with.

Plus it seems its a popular program already and many who have bought it are helping work out any issues.

Dan also is on the ball with making a list of fixes along the way and his forum has excellent customer support.

SaVas, and anyone else that cares, I put the money up for FS passengers and it is, in my opinion one of the best add-ons you can get for FS9. I thought it was going to be buggy w/ the PSS Airbus series but w/ a few settings tweaks it works very well. So for all those flying PSS's go'head and buy this it'll change your whole flight sim experience...

...oh, by the way, for some reason I thought this wasn't going to work online but it does, no problems...

I haven't bought it yet, but probably will before too long.

I noticed some people were making a big deal about the so-called "payload models" for different aircraft.  Since you can apparently create a model for any plane, is this really any big deal?
