Started a few months ago a trip from my home town in Canada all the way down to the south when I got back from a world tour.  The tour never covered south america or antarctica, so I thought it would be a good idea.  My prime goal is to reach the Antarctic and say hi to some of the Penguins there, so I never really took any screenshots until now.

Last night I finally landed in Norberto Fernandez in southern Argentina.  Norberto Fernandez was actually a diversion field I had to land in because it had ILS.  The field I was targeting before (approx 100nm north) didnt, and plus it was night, I couldnt see anything!

So just doing the pre-flight walkaround before heading out
...

After running up, finishing my checks, it was finally to depart for the Antarctic.  I couldn't find any METAR weather reports or pull up any charts on the destination, so I was going in blind.  Only thing I could gather was that the field i am going to land at is a 4200' strip, on gravel, with no ILS system.  So im going to be forced to do somewhat of a short and soft field landing, hoping the weather turns out good.
...

Just leaving South America now, lots of extensive broken clouds.  Just as long as this don't happen at my destination im happy
...

Here cruising across the ocean, sun is starting to go down and theres this nice little glow in the water.
...

Land ho, reached the northern most end of Antarctica, looks like the weather aint too bad.
...

After cancelling any IFR on my initial approach, the aircraft is prepared for final.
...

Whew, made it!  Either the buildings are supposed to be floating on water, or that theres been a flood here!  Global warming?   Grin
...

Shot didnt turn out as good as I hoped, but the taxiway is just above the water, good thing!
...

Next trip I'm gonna travel farther down south and enjoy some more scenery! (and hopefully meet some more penguins)

Hope ya like!

Cheers,
RB

Lol, the buildings look kinda amphibious though... the one on the left had like those lifesavers on the side... the one on the right has like that fence around it.
