Moving PAI threads... (Read 827 times)

Not really a complaint, I'm just confused. Why do all the PAI threads recently seem to somehow end up in the AFCAD/TTools boards?
ProjectAI does not really involve the use of AFCAD or TTools as far as the end user is concerned. Sure, they're probably used quite extensively in programming, but if that's the basis for judgement, then why not move any thread concerning FS to the "hardware" section, since at some point, Microsoft must have used their own computers during the programming process.
I just worry that moving PAI threads to AFCAD/TTools is going to turn a lot of people off PAI thinking they need to know more than they really do...PAI is the easiest AI available...no need to spook the noobs.

The only reason I move them Scott is because the Forum Heading description says this::
Quote:
AFCAD &TTools
Adding Aircraft Traffic to your Sim
Intel Core i7 Extreme Processor 965, 4.2GHz/8MB L3 Cache, Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Intel X58 Chipset Cross
Fire & SLI Supported, Mushkin Redline 6GB (3X2GB) Memory, eVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, Vista 64.

Then can we change the heading? The current heading implies that AFCAD and TTools are the only way to do so.

No no...it's not a complaint. But if the heading is "AFCAD/TTools" and you're putting ProjectAI stuff in there, why not put anything related to painting into 'other sites' since you can download a trial of PSP from JASC's site?
The point is that with a heading like "AFCAD/TTools", it's not clearly saying that ALL information related to AI traffic is in there...just stuff regarding AFCAD/TTools.
Would you put information relating to Lomac in with CFS3, since they're both combat sims? Methinks not.
But if you had a "Combat Sims" section, then you could most definitely put Lomac in there too...this is the same thing.
If it's a board that covers all things AI, then why list the names of two specific programs?

Scott, I hope I wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back
Afcad, traffic, TTools, installation of these aircraft. etc... go in the AFCAD & TTools forum. It is there for people who want to add, create, modify and install traffic in your sim. There is an entire forum dedicated to this so people can feel comfortable asking questions.
There are people in this forum that "specialize" in it and will get a faster response to their questions.

CriagL - Thanks for the pointer. IT was locked, but I've moved/deleted it... Unfortunately, too late for Hype.

And over something dumb, you don't go asking if something illegal is ok to do on a forum, that's just asking for trouble...

That's why I regret not deleting the thread right when I first saw it.
