I got this game last week and it´s fantastic !!
Compared to vice city the game world is very large
and consists of 3 ficitional (huge) Cities (similar to
Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Fransico)
You can do all the things you wouldn´t dare in reallife  Grin
Yesterday I took a parachute an jumped of the largest building.. just after I went through downtown with a tank
truck at 100mph Smiley
I also recognized that they have now more aircraft and 3 airports included. Actually the flying model is not very real.. but still fun flying ! Anyone else playing GTA:SA ??
What´s your opinion about that game ?

well i have had it since day 1 on ps2 and completed it a while back. If your out of city 1 already your cheating or spend 24/7 on the game Wink Smiley I prefer vice city. Better story lines and the size was much better. Driving between them for missions gets tedious quickly. The game is good though in the end. Once out of los santos i rarely returned. Just to completely wipe out the other gangs.

I must confess.. I played the whole weekend like crazy Smiley
I just got out of Los Santos and I´m at the point where you have to steal the combine harvester.
So I still have a lot to do !
Actually you can use the aircraft
allready very early in the game without a pilot license if you jump over the wall on the backside of Los Santos Airport Grin

I still play Vice city from time to time. It´still fun to race through the city with a motorbike.. or taking the helicopter
for a little flight.

Both great games !

The fun starts when you get you license after having completed the flying school. There's an astonishing variety of aircraft, from a P-51 to a 737!

But as for my favourite vehicle, nothing beats the mountain bike. Grin

Cool so you can fly the 737 yourself ??.. I thought it was just AI traffic. I allready spotted the P-51 but it was locked when I tried to enter.. so I probabely have to wait until i finished flying school. So far I just flew the Cessna the Learjet
and the biplane.
Is it also possible to fly that military
jet ? think it´s a corsair II or something. It shot me down when I entered the airspace of las venturas.

Its a harrier, and yes you can. There are tons of aircraft.
A seahawk coast guard helicopter.
A sea king which floats on water.
P51
DC3
Cessna
learjet
737
stuntplane
Apache
the standard helicopters
float plane
float sparrow
Harrier
crop duster
and a jet pack.
You need all gold from the flight school for some of those.

For the Apache, but you can also get that one without having gold.

I really wanted to love this game, but I picked it up for PS2 at the same time as I purchased MGS:3 SnakeEater.  While I was deeply involved in altering my hairstyle and expanding my wardrobe, I just sort of fell out of this game.  Looking back, I think I had more fun with Vice City.  I personally found the music and setting of Vice City totaly hilarious, and a perfect atmosphere for sending taxi fares screaming into the ocean before straightening out a hooker with a golf club.  Tommy Vercetti was totaly unhinged; C.J. seemed more like a yes man type errand boy.

Life is just a simulation.

Vice City was the styling master of the GTA series.  Tommy rocked, and the 80s theme was great.

But SA is just so damned BIG!  The bikes, the planes, the customization, and three huge cities to get lost in... It's a riot!  Some of the missions made me curse my ears off, but now that I've beaten the storyline, it's fun to just cruise around in my lowrider listenin' to music.  Wanna REALLY get lost?  Head out to the forest areas and turn the map off.  See how long it takes to get back to Los Santos! Tongue

And I thought that plane more closely resembled a Spit.  Ah well, I'll check it out again later.  And I'm gonna make a DC-3 repaint for FS'04 resembling the DC-3 in GTA (Suank Air, or w/e it was called).
