I don't expect a lot of replies for this thread, so I'll just say this.

I have recently had problems trying to login to my old SimV Forum account. I had changed the e-mail address in my old account in an attempt to update it. As you know, this site automatically creates a temporary passcode and sends it to the new e-mail that is inputted into the profile.

So I waited for my e-mail to arrive, but it never came. I went to the passcode reminder and typed in my username and clicked on SEND so that I can get the passcode. I did this many many many times. BUt still, no e-mail.

"What if I typed in my e-mail incorrectly?" I asked myself. "That could mean that the site is sending the passcode to an e-mail address that is incorrect and nonexistant." In that case I was stuck.

So I created a new account using the correct e-mail. But the system told me that the particular e-mail is already taken. So I went to the passcode reminder again. Still, not e-mail. Luckily for me, I have several different e-mail sources to use in case something goes seriously wrong. Hotmail, Cebridge, Wanadoo, etc.

Well, in conclussion, I have lost my post numbers [like I care about those] along with my old account, etc. But then again, at least I have regained communications with all you people so that I can remind you all that I have released a BETA version of the Enzo Ferrari for FS9. It's in the FS9 Misc section.

Yup,  typed in the right name. The site told me that it sent the passcode to e-mail address. Like I said it never came. So I assumed that my old account is not officially stuck in what well call OBLIVION. Roll Eyes

Exactly the same thing happened to me following an attempt to change to a new email address, and to update my password at the same time.

I was out of action for about 2 months before Pete managed to sort it out for me.....seems to be a Yabb problem as I know I didn't do anything wrong.
