there are rumors in the F1 paddock that Michelin teams could boycott the french gp if they get anything more than a reprimand for the USGP incident.
Moseley is saying it wont happen but stoddard and others say it might. If it happens it would be moronic. Not only would it put Ferrari and Michael Schumacher within 12 points of Alonso. But to do it in France, Michelins home gp, they would be securing an all Bridgestone grid by the end of the season.

I think F-1 needs some damage control now.  That means no more unnececarily controversial moves

This is incredible. It could be the French officials who decide if Michelin can race this weekend. And i doubt they will say no with michelin being french. The FIA will make its recomendation after they have recieved all data on tyre failures over the past few years for michelin.  Michelin are now offering refunds to those in attendance at indy and offering to buy tickets for them, for next year. This is really spiraling out of control. And the whole season could be in jeapordy because of this Michelin crap up.

how is the season in jeopardy?  It seems you should be happy craig.  Ferrari won a race, and you are complaining that michilin sucks?  It seems logical that they reimverse fans.  F-1 took a puch last week and US fans need compensation.

I am not understanding why you are mad

Like i said. I want to see Ferrari win, they didnt win anything at Indy, they got the points but its hollow. what we saw in the US was nothing more than two red cars up against what may aswell have been 4 guys on bicycles. I for one enjoyed the races at the start of the season, despite what you may think, because they were races, they were exciting, the most excitement in years. The season is in jeapordy, simply because Michelin teams have threatend to boycott races, and because punishment could result in Ferrari being given the title, by taking away points for the michelin teams, or even race bans for them. So 6 car races might not be a 1 time thing as it stands.

F1 is one of my favourite sports and you really can't whack a Grand Prix over a platter of fish 'n' chips - sadly this seems to be coming to an end with F1 now becoming more of a business than a sport.  Roll Eyes

So did Ferrari, they just held Michael up in the pits for an extra 8 seconds because he wanted to order a cup of tea for the next stop Roll Eyes Grin
The Minardi's are an awful car, they have no grip, no stability, and poor acceleration. The Jordans, were at one point a good mid-level team, Damon Hill won a race with them if i remember rightly, might have been Arrows. Roll Eyes Sadly Jordan continued on the same budget while costs increased. Minardi just have Paul stoddart in-charge, who has to have his say about everything which doesnt concern him, and stabs everyone in the back who has helped him.

haha, something I thought up while in the UK-
What do the Olympic games and the minardi F-1 team have in common?

Their motto- "take part"

It doesn't matter if you win or lose, being there is just as exciting........NOT IN F-1!  Minardi is the Andorra of motorsports Wink
