Man, everyone's a critic. (joking, please forgive me lol)

I thought almost everyone was awesome.

I've got bootleg's of most of the Live 8 performances and everyone was awesome, especially Pink Floyd.

What surprised me was that Billy Joe from Green Day said f*ck a total of 4 times on primetime TV Grin

Audioslave were very good and I think they benefit from Cornell (although I would prefer him to be back in Soundgarden, c'mon they practically started grunge lol) he sang the Rage songs with real....well... rage and Morello is no longer being held back, their version of Sleep Now In The Fire is truly something to behold.

I even enjoyed Madonna and Geldoff's performances 8)

P.S. AC/DC ROCK! Sure it may be repetetive but they have soul, and hey only knowing three chords never stopped the Quo........come to think of it why weren't they at Live 8?

And the best I could manage was listening to it on a crummy radio.

Pink Floyd still sounded as good as I've ever heard them though. Grin

As for AC-DC not being asked to play. I don't think the bands were asked. It was the bands that asked if they could play. And because of the speed at which the concert was planned and booked etc bands such as Status Quo couldn't make it due to other arrangements.

I was dissapointed though that Paul Mccartny didn't sing Mull of Kintyre just to help everyone on their way home. Grin

Why don't they use all this money that they generated to build some factories or something in africa and make people work for a living instead of just giving them stuff all the time, they talk about ending poverty but what do they actually do to help the situation?
I admit I do not know all about the details but it seems like africans get an awful lot of help from the rest of the world but it really does little to change the standard of living over there.

Actually people in africa are saying exactly the same thing Paz. They dont want continual handouts, they want help to give them a chance to work for themselves. As it stands, although the debt has been cancelled, with the way things stand, no doubt its already rising again.
