Found this whilst "browsing" on my usual site

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZX...

Looks pretty good, but why pay that much for a card, as the description says.... Grin

Thanks!

That card is freakin awesome. Anyone who has the money should get it. It wipes the floor with x850's and put 6800 SLI's to shame.

This ONE card can, in many games though not all, beat a dual 6800 ultra config.

Of course, in SLI, I have yet to see a solution that's more powerful.

I got this card and you'll have to beat me to death to get me to switch...unless of course you can give me some of the new ATI r520 vid cards.

Plus points:
-more powerful than the previous generation, known to beat a 6800 ultra sli in some games
-play every single game that exists at the highest resolutions at the highest AA and FSAA (I mean resolutions like 2048 by 1536 and AA as high as 16x). Don't even bother checking min specs when buying games. (provided you also have the CPU, mem, etc.)
-Uses less power and runs cooler than the previous generation 6800 ultra

Minus points:
-Still no CPU that can feed it all the info it can really handle. Well, technically the dual cores could possibily, but no game so far uses that ability. But future games will be multithread.
-Overkill by far. NO game today requires that kind of power. This is a new generation of vid card for a generation of game engines that doesn't exist yet. We're talking engines like the Unreal 3 engine (google it).
-Price

Conclusion:
Essentially, its an expensive futureproof. BTW, it also complies with the longhorn Windows Graphics Foundation (WGF) 1.0. So you'll be ready for the next versian of windows which has an amazing graphics package.

I'm really tempted to. I have NVtweak installed...

However, I am still busy working out the quirks on my X2 system.

I'll overclock the cards when i'm not busy playing with movie editing or when a game is released that strains my SLI setup (C'mon, epic). Whichever one comes first.

Any decent socket 939 nForce4 SLI or nForce4 Ultra mainboard............only go SLI if you want to run two expensive video cards.

Get a mainboard with a feature set that you want. Most high end nForce4 socket 939 mobos are very similar due to the chipset's amazing features, but there are slight differences between makes and models that suit different buyers.

Remember that a socket 939 mobo upgrade means you'll need a socket 939 CPU and some good quality RAM to suit.

...Mainboard: Asus P5K-Premium, CPU=Intel E6850 @ x8x450fsb 3.6ghz, RAM: 4gb PC8500 Team Dark, Video: NV8800GT, HDD: 2x1Tb Samsung F3 RAID-0 + 1Tb F3, PSU: Antec 550 Basiq, OS: Win7x64, Display: 24" WS LCD

asus a8n sli deluxe or premium. Just buy the SLI board for future proofing.

BTW, the premium has a digital SLI switch, so thats good too.

I love this card and mobo setup. If you buy this card, you may also have to upgrade your moniter as running a resolution under 1600 by 1200 is plain stupid. I'm running at 2048 by 1536 on a 24" CRT with 60 fps minimum. Of course, I'm using two of these beauties, but one can also handle this resolution.
