I've tried for a very long time to replace the awful default 777 panel, but I absolutely refuse to lose any of the gauges in the VC.  When I do searches for VC friendly panels, I get plenty, but when I install them (following all the instructions carefully, mind you) I still lose the gauges in the VC.

Right now I'm flying the POSKY 752.  I just dled another panel that claimed to be VC friendly, and wasn't.  Does anyone know of a panel that definitely is VC friendly?  Could you please give me a link (if you have one for the default 777 as well, that'd be great)?

Did you copy the VC text from the 777 panel.cfg over into the new panel.cfg?

If the panel came with a separate .cfg, then I probably just replaced the original .cfg entirely, so I guess that'd be a yes.

I did this successfully several times.
This is how I usually do it.
Rename the whole panel dir to something like panel_old.. Install the new panel. Copy all textures from panel_old to panel folder. Replace the VC sections
in the new panel file (or just copy them if there is no such section in the new panel file) with the VC section from the old
cfg. That usually works !
