Surround sound setup? (Read 81 times)

I'm building a custom computer and I don't know what sound card to get.
I want to get a 5.1 type surround sound system like with 4 speakers and uses a PCI interface.

This way when I use my homebuilt cockpit, I could hear the main landing gear being lowered behind me or the spoilers deploying and disturbing the rushing air over the wings.
And blast the engines to redline  Grin

Any suggestions?

Midnight,
With 5.1 sound you have 5 speakers and 1
subwoofer, therefore 6 speakers.
Most new mobos have 5.1 integrated onboard these days. Mine does and it sounds excellent!
All it took was a few tweaks in Audio config, and about 1 mile of wires...
