Go with what you can afford, but in addition to the useful info above:
Motherboard -PCI-Express will future proof you.
Processor - AMD 64 socket 939 3500 or above for the same reasons as above & they're recognised as the best for pure gaming!
RAM - 512mb at minimum, 1gb preferable, buy in pairs for "Dual channel" purposes.
Graphics card.. now this is one of the hardest ones.. a good start would be a 6600gt, anything up to a X800pro.
PSU 450+ watts.
Good luck, and don't forget to factor in the cost of FS2004!

Yeah,I was planning on getting a Dell Dimension 8400 with 1GB of RAM,3.20GHz pro,Win XP,80 Gb HD,ATI 8300.I have a budget of about $900.

Spend your $900 on components rather than a pre-assembled PC.
Get a friend who knows what he's doing to build it for you if you can't do it yourself.

Result, a far better performing pc for the same money.

Browse through some of the other threads here, you'll realise a Dell isn't your best bet.  Wink

The spec machines I've quoted above will be available in the US, although I believe OC/UK do mail order....  Grin

I really want an X2 from what I hear it has better features than Intels also AMD will be relising a low budget X2 for around 350$ Timefram:unknown
