Don't believe the hype!
Extra RAM does not equal extra performance.
I'd bet it's NOT worth the money.
Now a 6600gt for a few quid more... more like it.

No, it's still a budget card with poor performance. I wouldn't get it if it had 2GB RAM.

And, NO, it's not worth 100 pounds. It's currently at 100 dollars retail.

You can get a Geforce 6600GT for £118 !

That 6200 ,regardless of memory, won't get close to a 6600GT in FS9 or, any other game for that matter !

I would'nt be spending my money on Flea-Bay! Wink

Thanks guys does anybody know of a decent 256mb video card i can get for £100 or less? I've currently got a 128mb geforce fx 5200 and it seems a bit pointless to me to buy another 128mb graphics card regardless of speed

Your falling into the "256MB is better trap"
A easy mistake to make.

Consider this, my 128MB 6800LE out performs the 256MB ATI 9800 Pro and the 256MB FX5950Ultra, both very expensive cards not too long back....

I upgraded from my 128MB Geforce 5600 to my 128MB 6800 LE, the upgrade was far from "pointless", unless you describe now being able to run most of my games @ MAX settings with Anti-Alaising as "Pointless"

The RAM is almost irrelevant, the speed of the Graphics Processor is far more imoprtant.

Save £20 or so extra and buy either a 6600GT or, a 6800LE. Both cost roughly the same and offer similar levels of performance.

My Card...

Problem solved. Wink

6600gt, go with it and be happy.

The 6200 is essentially a geforce4 mx with dx9 abilities.

get a GF7800... out already, and faster

http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2451&p=8

And as a bonus: it's less hungry on the 12v so it runs cooler too

If you can afford it, I completely recommend the 7800.

I have nothing to say about this card thats negative besides it price.
