Im sure this has been asked before, but I was just wondering:

A lot of times, when I fly like those big resource hog payware aircraft in multiplayer, most of the time, everyone shows up as the same aircraft, which chops my frame rates significantly.  Say I fly a PMDG 737, everytime someone joins with a heavy or a jet, they show up as a PMDG 737 and that slows my computer way down.  Is there a way to fix this, so instead it will show up as a default plane instead?  Most of the time I try just loading into a dark cockpit in the default 737-400 before I switch to the PMDG, but that doesnt help the issue much.

Thanks.

Cheers,
RB

I'm not sure exactly how FS decides which to display the other planes, but the short and nasty version of what happens is the plane is represented by a plane in your fleet.  There's gotta be aline of code somewhere, in the cfg maybe, that says "Hey show it as a _________".

It gets really fun when someone shows up with a helo you don't have and they show as a Cessna.  LOL

What happens with multiplayer is  that FS will default to the nearest aircraft type. EG. a single engined  single wing aircraft is likely to default to the Cessna 172 a twin engined aircraft will default to the Dakota. etc etc etc
