You have lost me. The only "locator beacons" I can think of are NDB's (nondirectional beacons, which will allow your Automatic Direction Finding radio to tell you the direction but not the distance to the beacon) and VOR's (Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Radio beacons which will allow your NAV1 and NAV2 radios to tell you the direction and distance to a beacon).
If you want to see them in the GPS or the map you need to activate them. In the GPS click on "Menu" and in the Map click on the thing that looks like a stop sign (VOR) or bullseye (NDB).

Do you by any chance mean the "highway in the sky"? That is the EFIS and it is activated from ALT/Aircraft/Navigation/EFIS.

oh...maybe i am mistaken. but do you know if you go to "learn to fly > Student Pilot > Landing Part I &II", you will see yellow circles that the instructor asks you to fly through to the airport. Viewing the landing guide on simviation, you will see that the screenshots have red circles to guide the plane down to the airport. What I wanna know is how to turn on those circles.

Yes, that's the EFIS. Follow the instructions above. I haven't used it in a while so the manual is probably a better guide.
As I recall, though, you must first have the NAV1 radio tuned to a VOR or ILS, then you turn on EFIS and it shows you where to go - very helpful for visualizing a glideslope.

Hi,
ILS = Instrument Landing System. You can find the frequency of the ILS by pointing your mous on a runway in FSNavigator and find it in de rollout menu. It leads the aircraft right to the choosen runway. You can see the ILS-beams (the green long arrow like beams) on your GPS-display.
You can find the display EFIS via FS2002 running / Menu (on top screen) / and so on. You can hide/show the Menu by clicking the ALT-key on your keyboard indeed.

I have Mike Stone's A380 for FS2004 - the model works fine in FS2002. FS2004 panels usually need a little reworking before they will work in FS2002 and I was too lazy to bother so I just use the B-747 panel.
You can get the basic package here
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets38.htm
and if you search the library you can find a few more liveries. Just make sure get repaints that specify that they are made for Mike Stone's A380.

A squawk code is your transponder. When ATC says "squawk 1234" just click OK. You will see the numbers in your transponder change. If you want more realism you can tune the transponder manually. After the xponder has been tuned ATC will respond with "radar contact at such and such a location".
As far as the numbers to plug into the radios you need to learn some basics of instrument navigation first - VOR's, NDB's and ILS's. It's far beyond the scope of this thread to teach you navigation - you're just going to have to slog through the manuals and tutorials like the rest of us did. Here is a good tutorial

lim,
If you have some general questions about navigation and such you might want to post them in the FS2004 forum. Navigation is navigation and it doesn't really matter which version of the sim you're running and a lot more people read the 04 forum.
