Hum..... this could get "interesting".  Shocked

On our final into our destination last time, Ben and I almost had a mid-air collision just near the runway due to no ATC and a lack of good visability in the simulation. (
not to mention poor piloting skills on both our parts  8)
)  I had the lead and was first for landing of the last two aircraft down....but I was moving a bit slower so Ben had overtaken me more than either of us realized at the time. Our altitudes were such that he was above me in a blind spot and I was below him in a blind spot.

In reality, when neither of us was able to "have the traffic" in finding each other at the last minute... and knowing that we were both on very short final and very close together ....... both of us should have broken off the approach and gone around until we could "sort out" the separation issue.

As it was we both got it on the ground through some quick handleing and traffic avoidance manuvering.  Wink

Shows the potential issues at uncontrolled airports.

So as this US Tour gets bigger......... we may need an ATC person at the departure and arrival airports Grin.

best,
