This is awesome!  Roger Waters is getting back with Pink Floyd!  Even if it is for just one time, it would be the concert of a lifetime for me...  Grin

In my opinion they ceased to be Pink Floyd when Roger left anyways.

I both agree and disagree with that one !  Roll Eyes

As for the chances of a re-formation, I'd be very very surprised.

We spoke to Pink Floyd's manager this evening to clarify matters. It was confirmed categorically to us, that the band are NOT taking part in the show, and there are currently no discussions to place the matter under consideration.

I hope and pray things have changed!

I've apply'd for my tickets, I hope I'm lucky!!!

Considering the history of the Floyd though, and the much bad blood thats flowed over the years between members of the "proper" line up, It might be a ruse to get those texts flooding in before the deadline  Roll Eyes

Well, I could only agree with this statement if we are refering to the period after Roger Waters left the group.

Pink Floyd have loadsa talent, when Roger was around they managed to make radio friendly prog (not an easy task.)

Can't go to it but I hope that a reunion even for a short time is in the works.

I wouldn't quite call Floyd radio friendly.  To this day, I hate hearing any Pink Floyd music on the radio, because I prefer to sit down and listen to the whole album.  This is especially true for Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall.

You can't tell me that Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 wasn't radio friendly or One of These Days.

Yes works like Animals (my personal favourite) and Wish You Were here strayed away from that but without the initial success through radio friendly stuff it would have been possible much like Yes did.

Oh yeah and I agree that you should sit down and listen to their albums as a cohesive whole work instead of single songs.
