I currently using Project AI in my FS2004, but if I want to install AI using MRAI is there gonna be a conflict ? If so, how do I uninstall all Project AI so I could install MRAI ?
I have aircraft/flightplans from both PAI and MRAI installed, plus
many other AI addons and some that I've created myself.
I've not seen any conflicts or problems other than some airports
get really loaded up and occasionally when I land there is no parking
available for my aircraft until one or more of the AI planes taxis out.
You probably don't want to install the flightplans for the same
airline from both PAI and MRAI as this would duplicate much of
the traffic. Also, your "aircraft" folder will grow at an alarming
rate if you start adding all the various AC configurations available.
I have 109 PAI aircraft folders in one of my FS9 installations along
with 81 AI Ardvark aircraft folders and 89 aircraft folders of AI vessels,
military AC and others that I created myself!
At some point I decided that the PAI packages covered most of
the AI that I wanted so I removed the MRAI packages that I had
installed and replaced them with the PAI versions. It was just easier
for me to keep track of what I had "flying" that way
( My original FS9 install directory eats up about 25 GB of disk space! )
I've created 3 other FS9 installs on my system to "simplify" my
management of all the various downloads available.
I have one "FS9_clean.exe" install that I keep at a minimum
configuration for doing testing.
I have an "FS9_USA.exe" install that I use for flying in the USA and
Canada.
Then I have a "FS9_Europe.exe" install for flying in Europe and
Asia.
I only install AI and scenery addons that apply to a particular each
installation. Some AI, of course, are applicaple to both.
My original FS9 install I keep as an archive now, since it takes a
couple of minutes just to load!
