I'm thinking of selling my motherboard & CPU to a friend, he has 1 GB of PC2100 (133) RAM, knowing my p4c 2.6 runs @ 800fsb, 4x 200mhz,
1, Will this RAM / CPU combination work? - IIRC, the board supports PC2100 RAM

2, Whats the likely performance hit when running FS9 if any ?

3, £100 for a 2.6c p4 & Asus P4S800D Motherboard, both about 15months old, am I being fair to him?

Yes the ram should work fine. The Motherboard costs about 70 USD and CPU in the ballpark of 140$ USD so thats brand new. Id say 100E would be a good deal.

I think I'm being generous! Smiley But, you mention 100e - euros? I'm talking about GBP  - Pounds Sterling. £££ or "Wonga" as we sometimes refer to it over here!  Grin

£100 sounds about right if you ask me. If he's your mate then maybe you should knock a bit off.  Wink

I could really do with about £200, so he's quite lucky really!  Wink Grin

Grin Yeah, I guess he is then!  Grin

What you need to do is justify yourself m8, could I suggest an experiment to do just that?

Check the FPS when the default flight loads. Shut it down, pop in his PC2100, and check the same scenario's FPS with his ram, then report back the results to.... well, us!  Grin

At least then we'll all know whether you ripped him off or not!   Roll Eyes

I'm not helping am I?    Grin
