When installing gauges
DO NOT
overwrite existing files. If Windows says "gauge.gau already exists - replace?" Say no. You can easily screw up a lot of panels by overwriting gauges files.

The planes haven't appeared in FS'02-game when I start it and go to "create a flight". I must have downloaded them to wrong place, right now all planes are on C: Program Files/ Microsoft Games/ FS2002/ Aircraft. I think I've messed up something, I hope some1 could help ???

Hi JPS. Please take my advice & slow down a little. Read that installation tute & follow the intructions carefully. Install just one aircraft. When you get that working properly install another one. It's really quite straightforward once you get the hang of it.

well, didn't work...
I checked the instructions(
http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm
) again, and I realized that I've made a mistake in section 2.2, extracting to folder. I don't know what that extracting is, cause my computer is in Finish, and there aren't so many objects to choose as in English version...
So, I need some help (AGAIN). I hope some1 could this time get me to undestund it so well, I could get a new plane...
Thanks for all your help

ok, here we go...
You need to extract your winzip file to (local drive)C:/program files/ microsoft games/fs2002/aircraft- you should now have a folder with the names of all the aircraft available in.
now you need to check that the aircraft will work properly. Enter the folder that youve just unzipped. Somewhere inside this folder are 5 essential files:
A 'model' folder
A 'panel' folder
A number of texture folders 'texture. (number)'
A 'sound' folder
An 'aircraft.cfg' notepad document
you need to put all of these files into theoriginal folder after it was unzipped. (ie. if you click on the unzipped folder and enter it all 5 files will be there, as opposed to in another folder inside the original)
So supposing you downloaded a chinook. The zip. name is ch47.zip. This should be unzipped in 'aircraft' to create a folder of the same name (ch47 in this case). Now you need to place the 5 files i mentioned above into the ORIGINAL folder- so when you click on the folder 'ch47', you can see the 5 files
now boot flight sim up, and voila
cheers daz

Yeah, SimV has aircraft also, but the sites I posted have some other planes. Just trying to give JPS some variety. I know that FS2002.com has some planes that SimV did not have. Just my 2 cents...
