How quaint the contrast: crowning our president is not considered proper (though some may want to  Undecided) and, if he sits on a throne, we expect him to to so quite privately Lips Sealed
Nevertheless, taking note of time passing, it seems God has saved your Queen quite well. Happy Anniversary.

I hope she has a very long life, as her potential successors do not seem quite up to the task.

As a royalist from the stronghold of Oxford, I always loved the Royal family. Their pathetic example and poor show over the years has made that waiver. However, we are on about Elizabeth - so yeah  - Happy Anniversay!  Grin

I was 10 years old at the time & if I remember correctly I was confined to bed with some childhood complaint. I listened to the Coronation on the radio as it was some years before we got our first black & white TV set. Happy days & life seemed so much simpler then.

I'm no royalist but I think Elizabeth II has done a remarkable job as Queen. Long may she continue.

I like the Royal family. It's just about the only thing that keeps England different. Smiley

Woodlouse2002 PITA and BAR!!!!!!!!&&&&Our Sovereign Lord the King chargeth and commandeth all persons, being assembled, immediately to disperse themselves, and peaceably to depart to their habitations, or to their lawful business, upon the pains contained in the Act made in the first year of King George the First for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies. God Save the King.&&&&Viva la revolution!
