I decided to go down to storage and pull out ym RC boat.  The old girl has been locked away a while and I've missed sailing her.  She is a Kyosho Fairwind II, and when finished is almost three feet long and over five feet high.  Right now, I'm almost done prepping it for repainting.  I decided this time to remove all of the fake deck fittings and rigging this time, which is why you see all the Bondo.

This is my idea of RC.  No whining motors, no long runways needed, and definitly relaxing.  I can put my boat in, sitback and my boat will be a part of the scenery, instead of a distraction from it.

Just a wee bit of advice about boat maintainence, after sanding down you only need to apply the primer onto where there is bare wood. This is because normal paint doesn't stick to wood as it should. If there's paint there already then you can just go over the top of whats there.

And 767, model boat sailing is suprisingly enjoyable, even when you can go for real as there is bugger all effort involved. However, given the option I'd go for real sailing every time.

Just to let you know, the whole point of primer is that it's a base coat to which the paint can stick. You don't have to sand it down before applying the paint.
