Before I begin, assume no knowledge of electronics... Roll Eyes

I would like to build a simple set of trim controls operated by three rotary controls: elevator, aileron and rudder

I've been looking at phidgets and it seems that a PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 using 3 rotation sensors would do the trick. Putting these together looks relatively easy... ahem

What I am unsure about is how much further I would have to go in order for my computer to be able to recognise that signals are being sent from my device to a program and for the program to read them (heresy, I know, but nowadays I fly Pacific Fighters rather than an MS flight sim for my virtual kicks)

Is it necessary to program the device using VB (it's a while since I've done any of that...) or would it simply function as a plug and play device?

Forgive the dim questions...

Wink
