Hiya guys

I was just thinking after watching a programme on the asian tsunami, have there ever been any incidents of aircraft landing while a natural disaster is occuring???
Has a plane ever been on finals for somewhere when suddenly the runway begins shaking violently? Or maybe on finals to the maldives when the suge of water ran onto the runway?

Any feedback much appreciated.

I know when we had our most recent earthquake a few years ago (the one that shutdown one of the runways at either Sea-Tac or Boeing Field) tower had to have an airplane go around just as they were crossing the numbers.

The day is always better when you're flying upside down.&&&&www.fight2flyphoto.com&&&&Canon RebelXT&&Canon 18-55mm&&Sigma 10-20mm F/4-6.3&&Sigma 100-300mm F/4-6.3&&Sigma 50-500mm F/4-6.3

Thanks  Grin

I just thought it would of happened more often, with so many aircraft taking off and landing all over the world?! Maybe I was wrong. Oh well!

Thanks for your feed back.
