Hi all

I don't know if I'm asking this in the right place, but here goes. Is there a way to get past the "No Generator" problem when using FS2K + aircraft in CFS2. I have quite a few great kites from the newer FS apps that work great in CFS but don't charge the batteries resulting in system failiure after a couple of min's. I know there is a difference between the default electrical systems of the different programs...is there a way to solve this. I can and do edit air and cfg files if need be.

Tx a mil.

Well, no joy. I have put electrical parts into these cfg's before, just without the electric_always_available bit. I thought that would solve the problem, but alas, no way. I am convinced that the solution to this lies in the air file and not the config. if you replace the air file with a similar plane's... presto!! Unfortunatly there are just too many unspecified fields in the air files to know which ones are the gulity parties.  I do know this, all the problem planes have very sparse .air's. Especially in the motor sections. The ones that work are very complete, but most of the data is in "unspecified" fields soooo.....

Any help here would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy.

Shame that, i had the same problems as you, stuff not working after a few minutes, this cured it for me, the  volts and amps settings are important apparently, try upping the numbers to see if that makes any difference? Sad

Hey Happ!. That may work. I guess it is pretty aircraft specific. Strangely though, I have actually pulled quite a few 2K and 2K2 aircraft that work great. To make things more confusing still, I have a S3 Viking that works (and flys) like a charm that has a config file that consists of forcefeedback and viewpoint data only...go figure!!!

Tx again.
