Hey Fellow SimVers,

well, after yet another Computer wipe out, I find my self downloading, installing, downloading, installing, and downloading and installing more stuff... I haven't had much flight time... and I thought it would be cool if I could fly over the US, so... I was wondering, is there any 40's era scenery for the US of A? it doesn't neccesarily have to be 40's era, or even for CFS2, but... I think it would be kind of odd to be flyin' a P6 over New York and have to dodge 100 story buildings. Wink

Thanks,
Brandon

Hey,

Give this site a try:
http://bluegrassairlines.com/bgas/hangar/2002.html

and I wonder if you saw this one "CFS2 Blacksheeps" at:
http://www.simviation.com/cfs2scenery8.htm
It's not the USA but should be a must for a
"Corsair Freak", hehehe.

Cheers!

well, I have was having a look through the Libraries at flightsim.com for USA Scenery... preferably something that covered ALL of the U.S. and I found some mesh in the FS2K2 Scenery, there's about 10 downloads for the East Coast Alone!  Shocked the file's are about 48.5MB in size, so, I tried downloading them, and when I try to download from Flightsim, it's VERY, VERY slow... I'm running a Cable connection, and at %7 done downloading e_coast2.zip, I've still got 1 hour and 5 mins before it's done... SCREW THAT! does anyone know where else I can retrieve these files? I've searched AVsim, Netwings, and SimOuthouse.

Thanks,
Brandon

I haven't tried it but don't think FS2002 scenery or mesh is compatible with CFS2. FS2000 files would be better if you can find them. It's also possible to use the FS2000 default scenery in CFS2 but you would naturally need FS2000 to do it. http://www.simviation.com/lair/fs2kincfs2.htm

I don't think I own a game that doesn't have guns in it... the FS series have never appealed to me, the only reason I own FS98 is because it came with CFS1, but anyway... The U.S. scenery is no big deal, I just thought it would be cool to fly from airports around my home. Looks like it's back to the solomons for me.  Wink

Thanks,
Brandon
