I tried a demo of the JustFlight Piper Tomahawk...
Liked it so much I went and got it!
Some shots of a flight around Jackson Hole WY...
The question: I was unable to get the plane to go much faster than 80 KIAS...is this all the faster it goes?
My first flight in a 172 on August 20, 2004&&

I would think it should be flying faster than that Jordon.
Would depend on your altittude and wind direction and speed, but here is a shot I took, and it shows just under 140 kias, I was at 4,500, and flying on a heading of 180, and the winds were 152@10kias.....

That's what I was thinking. Probably Jackson Hole Wyoming has a higher altittude than where I was flying....

I dunno'.
The screenie shows..
3200 rpm and 130kts.?
Pull the power back to around 2100-2200rpm and you'll see about 105kts.
It's only 115 hp.
Jordan, you might wanna check to see if "auto-mixture" is checked in realism settings.
Not leaned properly could also be killing your cruise, based on temp. and density altitude.

I was leaning the mixture (I wish there was an EGT gauge there) and listening to the engine/watching the RPM...
I flew it here in Michigan and was able to go faster...I think it was the location (I remember not being able to go much faster when flying another plane some time ago...

Rule of thumb..
Lean till you see a drop in the "RPM", Then "Richen" just a tad!
Goodness when I learned to fly in the late "70's", An EGT was something that was on "Really expensive planes"

I go by the sound of the engine (unless there's an EGT gauge there...) Thanks for that tip!

Remember that
indicated
airspeed may be lower than "normal" depending on density altitude...
