Right. I shall give another clue. It's a napoleonic line-of-battle ship that survived long enough for someone to take that photo.

Sometime between when photographs were invented and 1897 when she was wrecked off Blackpool. 1880's or 90's I should imagine.

Same era. The difference however lies in that the ship in Master and Commander was a 38 gun frigate, and that is a 74 gun line of battle ship.
