You'd need long arms and a good hammer - even if in those days you put on a cloth flying helmet and then a bone dome on top!!! Cadets get the shiney white lightweight bone domes now. Just not the same. And the MoD skimped on the dark visors for them!!!

haha, you know i'm surprised as to how many replies this topic got, some of the stuff being said is actually quite true!! I never had the opportunity to fly in a bulldog or a chipmunk, but i like the grobs they are pretty cool. I even have one on flight sim, pull off some mean stunts in them!
Air Training Corps Cadet since 2003. Sergeant since Sept 2006, Staff Cadet since July '06.
