I'll miss the Sunset Display at Old Warden this weekend* so I thought I'd post a few static shots from Duxford last Sunday to make up for it.
Carolyn Grace checking her Spit before leaving for another display, probably Southampton.
Duxford now has another two-seater. First time I've seen this.
A couple of my favourites from after the show.
*PS. Never mind. Weather doesn't look too promising anyway.

Lovely shots Doug. I know it hard to focus on fast moving subjects in the air when they are coming or going, but to be able to shoot these up close and moving slowly, makes for very nice images........

You know, I would prefer to see photos on the ground as opposed to in the air. There's more detail that way.

The idea is to get them in the air with the same amount of detail. This isn't aways successful so I always take a few static shots with my old camera in case the aerial ones don't come out.

I wasn't aware I had a thing about Wildcats Kevin. I don't recall postiing any before as I rarely see one & have nothing worth posting, as yet. I'm hoping to put that right during the season. The example in this thread is painted as an FAA Martlet which is quite unusual. I wouldn't call it any more ugly than other US radial engined fighters. It actually put on a very good display & looked quite a lively little aircraft.
