AlphaSim isnt known for their virtual cockpits Wink But their visual models can be pretty decent, and they do have very good customer support...that I have to give them

It's really a matter of knowing who you're ordering from...

Alphasim's work is not as high-caliber as say...Bill Lyons or Aerosoft, but then, it doesn't pretend to be either!

I am very happy with my Bobcat and Osprey!

You need to also remember Alpha Sim doesn't charge what Aerosoft-shop charges for their packages.

You get what you pay from both companies in my opinion.

I'll be picking this one up for sure!

If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there&&...&&&&

Habu et al (and all- for those unfamiliar )

and to Andrew especially

First of all nice shots Habu and congratulations to you on your new plane.

I think both as a person who takes professional screenshots for  Aerosoft and other companies and as a person who owns and runs a company which deals with flightsimulator performance I have a few words to say regarding this constant issue with the VCs of Alphasim.

When I decide if I want a plane or not. I decide based upon what I want as a simmer not based upon the ideals of someone else.

I fly many planes in spot view both for my work and  for my own pleasure and I really don't care if the VC or even the 2D is perfect since I really just love the planes.

The more I read the kind of responses like that of Andrew the more it starts to grate on my nerves.

Someone bought a plane and liked it enough to take and post screenshots for our enjoyment. THIS OBVIOUSLY MEANS HE LIKES IT and trying to diminish (reduce) that by putting down his personal decision reeks (smells highly) of someone taking a superior stand without much to back it up.

In short and to the point Andrew I am sick of you constantly complaining about these planes. This is a screenshot forum and everyone knows that Alphasim does not produce frame rate eating, slow drawing VCs which you seem to see as being more important than GOD.

I have the Lightning Pack 2 as I remember these from my younger days at airshows, and must say that having sat in a real still working Lightning F6 - the VC Alphasim produced for this aircraft is outstanding.

In real life you can't move around very much at all in there, and they captured the feel of it very well. You'd be hard pushed to find a better Lightning for FS, in my own opinion.

As for the B-1B - I can't get enough of it. It has to be the smoothest running plane I use in FS except the default MS ones.

I have over 20 of Alphasim's models and I will tell you something, they are always consistent!
Like Michael said, Quote:

With Alphasim You will always get a great looking and great performing aircraft for your money. They don't charge allot like many of the other Payware companies and for that, they should be commended!
I have no problem purchasing anything from Alpahsim as they have a great track record. Like I said, I have over 20 of their models and I always know I will be happy with any of their products. I can't see down playing a company or an aircraft just because they didn't "overload" the VC which in turn , overloads our wallets! (Not that I mind spending money on this stuff  Wink )

In short, if you are new to Payware and don't have or want to spend allot of money, Alphasim offers so many aircraft at such good prices, that you will soon find yourself wanting more!
