are there any programs you guys no of that can detect computer problems in any degree? Cheers, thanks a lot! Gunny

No, not in particular, but, if you really want to speed up your pc, then spend an hour or so following the advice posted here.

The Anti-Virus program, "Norton SystemWorks" contains a very nice suite of Utilities to detect and correct all sort of niggling faults in the system software... 8)...!
I find it very useful for correcting missing, etc, program shortcuts..
...!
..of which there are many......often of my own creation...
...!
