hello again...

i have this question which has been bugging me for a while:

is it possible to rotate the transform gizmo so you don't have to rotate a part only around the absolute XYZ axises (word?)

for instance, i ran into some trouble animating the flaps in the 737 because the wing is swept back some 25 degrees and has 6 degs dihedral... so the XYZ axis were quite crooked in relation to it...

if it were possible to change the orientation of the transform gizmo, one would be able to rotate a part around a custom axis, and it would be much easier to work with these "crooked" parts...

is there any way to do this?

not sure if that's what you want.
But there's this thing called affect Pivot Only(the tab after the poly/vertices screen)

It allows you to rotate the pivot the way you want it.

Use the helpers (point/tape) and angle snap to make ur angles precise.
