ITV-F1 would like to acknowledge all those F1 fans who emailed this site to vent their frustration over the weekend’s ad break placement.

We regret to say that due to the huge number of responses, we won’t be able to answer each message personally.

However the strength of opinion has been registered and this has been communicated to various parties within ITV Sport.

It is ITV1’s firm commitment to continue to bring you the best F1 coverage that we can through the television and the internet.

So much for an official appology. Roll Eyes

Roll on the BBC, or even better, have Eurosport bid for the coverage too, then we can have coverage just like the mid 90s...

First time I've sat down to watch the F1 for a couple of seasons. So what do the idiots do? Have an ad break in what was probably the most exciting part of the race. Roll Eyes What's the matter with these people? Angry

Not that the BBC would be much better. From what I saw of the live coverage of the A380 test flight today they missed the touchdown. I think they lost the plot somewhere. Wouldn't have happened in the old days.

Contractually obliged to have 5 ad breaks during the race but were waiting for Schumacher to pass Alonso before they took it. Presumptious b****rs...

The best way to put it.
The BBC suck because they make things too complicated for themselves.
For instance with their sporting coverage on football for their saturday goal zone. They send 5 or 6 people, two to provide reports, a camera man a sound guy and a director. Sky sports on the other hand for their saturday goal zone usually send two, 1 to do the report and one to do the camera work. And it comes off much better, much more organised and much cheaper. This is the same for all things the BBC do, they have more people than nessicary.
Now ITV in my opinion dont put their full commitment into their F1 coverage anymore. Its not helped by the ridiculous qualifying but thats not their fault.
The BBC while over doing things, always put the time and effort into their F1 programming and deserve it back, if only they would put the money on the table.
If sky could get the current crew to go with them i would be all for them buying the rights, but only if they dont use their own guys.

I hope the prats at ITV havent ruined any chance of you watching again as it could be the best season in a very long time from here on out.

I only watched this one as the weather was bad. With a bit of luck I won't be around to watch TV for the rest of the season. Wink

At least they acknowledged the cock up. Why they couldn't run the ad breaks in the pre race and post race part of the program I haven't got a clue.  ??? Roll Eyes

haha!  USA TV rocks!

Ok, if I ever say that again, shoot me.  TV is brainwashing my nation, and is misleading them.

So did ITV place a commercial at the spine tingling finish or somtin?

it started the commercial break with 3 laps to go. and returned with 3/4's of the last lap to go. I dont mind the coverage, two ex drivers being on the commentating and analysis team means pleanty of intelligent info. But then you have the problems of commercial TV. Roll Eyes
