i hav decided to build a pc instead of buying one, but dont really hav a clue and wondered if you lot can help ill put down the budget i hav for each componect but if i forget any think please help me Wink

  • Case - £30
  • motherboard - £100
  • Ram - £100
  • Graphics card - £100
+ any think else i hav forgoten,  Wink

please help

ps forgot processer - £100 lol

dont think ure gonne get a lot in the terms of 430 pounds.. if ure lookin for a top spec..  Roll Eyes

But have a look around, (recommends kelkoo  Wink)
Theres not alot in the way of good gpx cards for 100 quid, but i could be wrong  Smiley

U need a external soundcard if you want one..
Modem, if ure on a dial-up..
Extra Usb ports may be desired  Wink
dvd-rw.. etc

My advice would be to get one of your mates round who has done this successfully before, and get him to do the job for you while you watch, and take note... Wink...!
It will save you a lot of frustration, and expense, etc...!
...and you can supply the beer...

Ahh yes I do rember my first build. As this is your first time I would go with tried and true products and not ones that might give you some truble. also 450 euros isnt alot to work with at all. I dont even think ive built anything decent for 450 USD (exchange currently is 1.5E to every 1USD) so shop around, but I would save up alot more and increase your budget. Also if we discourage you too much you could go to www.ibuypower.com or www.cyberpowerinc.com for a hand built machine that will look hand built, however it has all of the finerys of being made by a professional.
