I just started learning AFCAD today. I didn't get very far though. On page 13 of the Version 1.4 User Manual
I followed the instructions in Section 14 "Slewing in Flight Simulator."

My problem is that I can't seem to go from FS to the AFCAD window by using the Ctrl+tab keys.

I accessed AFCAD.exe and got an airport. With AFCAD open on the screen I brought up FS2002 and created a flight using the same airport as the one in AFCAD.

I went into slew mode and top-down view and hit ctrl+tab and nothing happened. I couldn't go from FS to AFCAD.

I checked Control---Assignments and ctrl+tab is shown as "switch to next view."

FSUIPC is in my FS Modules folder.

Even went to AFCAD view and checked "Lock to Flightsim."

It's pretty discouraging getting stumped this early.

What am I doing wrong?

I think  'Alt+Tab' is what your looking for (Windows task switch).

Or run FS2002 in 'windowed' mode, 'Alt+Enter' and you can switch from the 'task bar'.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky
