Looking for scenery for the Eastern Front.
I am particularly interested in the Karelian Peninsula.

Anybody know where I can find this?

RabbitHawk I found some European Mesh at www.Simnetwork.com at their Scenery section.

It came in six section of down loads. But it  in a folder.
Name the folder Europen Mest. Add them to your Scenery by activating it.

You will see more forest areas like it must of been in Russia at that time.

I hope I been helpful

If you have any question?

Please come back and I will try to help you out.

Enjoy James007

That might help me out too, but I would also need Russian Airfields and lots of them, from the early days of the invasion in 1941 all the way to Moscow, I'm also taking it to Stalingrad, Kursk and other battles on the Eastern Front.

I'm building up an all out Russian Campaign and right now I'm gathering the stuff needed for this to work.

Hey James007,

I looked all through simnetwork's scenery section for
European Mesh. I think I might need new glasses. I couldn't
find it. Would you happen to have the exact link?

Found some terrific Seasonal Textures. I will definitely
be getting those! I think they are available here as well.
Thanks for the help.

Hey James007,

Just found 6 files for "Europe Mesh II" over at Netwings.
I wonder if these are the same ones?

Looking forward to jumping Sb-2s in my Finnish Hurricane, hehehe.

They probably are the same Mesh Hawk. Their are several different European Textures as well available that are much better than the original.

My Favorite is the one made by a member name Stiz. He made a conversion from FS2004 to CFS2 that of very good quality.

He also made a European Texure for that goes with that conversion as well.

Its easy to install as well. Just remember to backup your original Textures before you install the new ones.

Its located in www.Sim-outhouse.com in the scenery section.

Remember you can still install the mesh over the texture if you want since they both are not the same.

There are other European Textures that are of very good quality too.

1.http://www.mlk-airbase.wz.cz/msfs/scenery/texture_swap.html

There is McClelland Eropean scenery that I like very much aslo.

1.http://www.aer.ip3.co.uk/scenery.htm

Install them and test them. Fly over them and see witch you like the most . Its your choice.

I have different CFS2 installs, and have install all of them depending on what I like for that Theater.

I forgott Stiz Pac tex. They are pretty good as well. Its located at.

I hope I have been able to help you out.

Plaese come back and let me know.

If you need help?
ask for it.

Hey Stiz,

Your world textures are Terrific! I have always drooled over
those screen shots from Fs2002 & Fs2004 and wished a
combat sim existed like that. Last night, my wish came true.
The Solomons never looked so good! Your city textures are
a big improvement over the defaults. Thanks bunches!

Tonight, I install the Europe Mesh II. I hope the Karelian
Isthmus is included. If not, hopefully Italy and Sicily.

Well, I guess the Karelian Isthmus is not part of Europe.
It is still flat as a board with square lakes and saw-blade
coastline. Like it was made out of building blocks. *sigh*

Yeah these guys beat me to it. hehehe. That's cool with
me. I would rather be flying the missions.

I found some mesh scenery for scandinavia - and
afterward it turns out to be the mesh that they
suggested for the winter war campaign. Having a great
time with this one.

Thanks for your assistance Mr. Bond. The suggestion
of Stiz's textures was a great one. My new installation
of CFS2 looks 100 times better than my old one.
