but im not looking forward to the shine they put on ALL there products....

just look at the badger there makin.... never seen such a chromes a/c...

That isn't Alphasim that is jsut the designer's preference seeing how they recruit 3rd party designer products and distribute them through their website.

I have the frightening and apart from the metallic paint scheme the others contain no crome apart frm the correct bits.

well... ive got quite a few... i admit that most are not... but still....  Roll Eyes

a shiny tu-16... ive never seen a photo of a shiny one..
if i remember rightly wasnt the f-4 toooo shiny  ???

Andrew,

Just for your info, the early lightnings were highly polished and if you follow the link below, scroll to the bottom of the page the middle lightning photo is from 1978 - a good few years after entering service albeit in a museum.... and you can see how shiny they were (obviously there's no dirt on a museum piece!).

I think they have done a pretty superb job of recreating them, although the grey and camo Lightnings are my favourites.

There is already a fantastic freeware Lightning available.  Why would you want a payware version?

The alphasim lightening is from the same stable as the freeware Hawker Tempest II and Sea Furies and is very very good, with some nice sounds which you don't get with all A-sim packages...
