Hey all, so far there are three of us.  We're all in the US.  Two of us are Eastern time, the third is Central.

We're looking to form a second SimV flying group.  If you're interested, lemme know and we can hammer out a time.

See ya up there!

Well you know I'm in. I'm the one in central time.

Times that would work best for me would probably be Saterday nights. Smiley

Since I'm married, Saturday nights are usually free for me too.  LOL

No, dear, I don't mean EVERY Saturday, honest. Embarrassed

I'd like to join in, but having some trouble in this dept.  If I open "Multiplayer" in FS9 I get a dead, incomplete page, can't seem to connect at all with the Zone, and not sure what's up with my IP.  (get different results from different sources, and using cmd prompt- ipconfig I see an IP that's the same as the router, only with "00" at the end). The tutorials I've seen here don't really explain it in a way that jibes with my (Linksys) router, and I'm very leery of changing anything, as I share my broadband w/5 other people and don't want to mess things up...
You guys planning on using FSHost, or what?

I've only used FSHost a handful of times...the majority of my online flying has been done with either an IP game or on an ATC server.

I suppose I could use FSHost if it'll help you...my hunch is that your issue is with the router.  99% of the problems I've seen people encounter with multiplayer is router-related...I don't run a router (though a friend of mine is convinced otherwise), so I'm not sure how to fix it.

I'll try to remember to install FSHost tonight when I get home from work...

You only really need FSHost if someone using FS2002 wants to fly with you..... otherwise direct IP works just fine.
The other advantage of FSHost is that the person hosting the game can leave and let others carry on flying and then rejoin at any time.

why don't you all just use SquawkBox 3, it is used for VATSIM, and is a all in one download, very fun and REALISTIC

Download SQB3 here

OK guys I'm feeling generous ....... How's about I leave my server up and running on Sunday night ..... for you guys, if you want me to.
This would mean that it would be online from 16.00 BST to 00.00 BST. BST= Eastern+5. Who knows you might get some of the guys from the earlier session joining you.

If this is acceptable PM me so I can add your names to the list for server details.

Depending on the size of the group, I don't mind hosting the game myself...as far as software goes, we're good to go there as well...mainly we're just trying to get an idea of who wants to fly with us.  Thanks though to all!

I'm just thinking that if you arrange something then you can gauge response and maybe set something up for yourself at a later date. Let me know if you want to take up the offer ..... its no problem for me to leave the server running for another couple of hours.
