The original installation of X45 gave as default the rotary 2 (top left throttle) as rudder trim, and I assigned the 23-25 togle buttons as rudder control.
After having to reinstal fs9 and X45 I lost the R.Trim.
How to get it back, without loosing rudder that is on axis to 23-25 ?
Thnx

if the 23 button your talking about is the rudder bar leave it. thats suppost to be a rudder control. just make one of those knobs ontop of the throttle the trim. or do what i did and make the unused 2nd hat as the trim setting

OK, but if the 23 rudder is assinged to Axis, how do I assigne one of the throttle wheels ?.
I tried everything, and all hats are occupied. It has to be one of the wheels. Thnx
PS. Incidentally, has any body tried the "Global Terrain Mesh" given in the Simvtn Downloads :-

Is it an worthwhile improvment in the senery?

I use that little "x/y"hat on the throttle for trim; elevator as well as rudder. Takes a little getting used to, but I like it. Saves the rotaries for mixture and prop pitch. Just go into "Assignments" in FS9 to change it. I've found using the Saitek program is really not necessary unless you're going to get into using the "Mode" and "Aux" switches for, say, different aircraft control layouts,, which I haven't done yet. I've gotten much better stable results doing it through FS.
Also, the terrain mesh available for free here is pretty cool. Not the best out there, but probably the best you'll get for nothing!!

On the very first installation the, the wheel No.2 came up as rudder trim by default, and I assigned rudder axis to the rudder bar. After reinstallation could not repeat it.
If you mean Nos 19,20,21,22 hat to the left, I use as per attached image (if it turns out readable).
Now have to use wheel 2 for rudder, as I can use as set rudder trim on engine failure, not possible on the R.bar.
I only use fs9 assignes, as could not figure out the Saitk program.
I got S.England Global terrain and seems a bit better.

Have you updated the drivers? If so you may want to reinstall the old drivers to see if you get the original assignment. I have the same setup with mine and it's perfect for flying helos or crosswind & engine out approaches in fixed wing. Just dial in some rudder trim and you can manage even the most difficult approach.
If nothing else I cold email you my config file. You will probably want to change some of the other stuff but it may give you our rudder trim back.

Drivers are the originals.
Is your R.Trim on a wheel and the rudder on the R.Bar?
For helis I use my feet on an old stick, down under the table. A kind chap here explained how assign its axis to the rudder. There is a foto of his setup in a previous X-45 thread.
But for single engine on fixed wing I'd rather have the R.Trim.

Rudder trim is the top wheel (rotary) rudder control is the bar. Email with file attachement is on it's way. I just sent it. Going to have to look that other post up. Sounds interesting. Might even work for rudder pedals with some creative enginering.

Helis and crosswind now much easier.
