One day, comming there I spoted this splendid mature Lady...
This photo was took by Raphaël from techical staff of Euroairport)

She is a South African Airways Historic Flight Douglas -4-1009 in European tour.  The day she took off from the airport, we where allowed to make a visit, I bought then one off those cheap Kleenex camera and took  those other pictures (the blurry ones). those High quality sharp where made by raphael with a pretty good digital camera)

Now you're talking. That's what I call an airliner. Wink

Very nice photos.

Thanks for your comments,

those prop liners give the feeling of soul and mind. When their four conventional piston engines sing together it is a beautyfull music too.

Basel Mulhouse Freibourg has this unique characteristic to be tri-national. placed in a region of Alsace called "les 3 frontières" (the 3 bordures). at a couple of miles near Basel.

Iknow this airport since now 15 years and see it's growth and the recent building of the Y terminal.

I never there any other prop liner than this DC4 but, if you are lucky, you can see here the impressive landing or take off of some Antonov cargo. this region has load of heavy indutry, chemical and cars. so the fret traffic is important.

A next bunch of 5 DC4 Outeniqua pics will be posted
