Well, here is another highly awaited and hyped up game that everyone I know has been raving about and couldn't wait to get their hands on, personally I didn't care, but anyways, I know a couple of guys at work who ran right out and got their reserved copies.....and beat the game in less than 9 hours.
3 years in the making and only 9 hours of gameplay, similar to Halo 2.
What is it with these game makers taking forever and ever to make a game and then hyping it up like it is the greatest thing ever and then you spend your hard earned $50.00 for a single evening (or two) of gaming.

Oh well, not my problem, I'm busy with other things right now and haven't really been doing much gaming, I beat Champions: Return to Arms a couple of weeks ago and that was the last game I played.
Too bad for those guys who feel cheated by this latest hype-fest, the one guy already has his copy up for sale for $40.00 because he knows he'll only get about $30 for trade-in, someone will buy it and bring it back to work and sell it again, maybe I will check it out when the price drops to $20.00.

9 hours? What a waste. If i can complete a game in any less than 20 hours i consider it a waste of time and money.

Go and buy Hidden and Dangerous 1. Put it on hard and try and beat it at all let alone in under 20 hours. Grin

As systems get more and more advanced, the time it takes to create the more advanced game engines and everything takes longer and longer and sadly, the same amount that goes into the engines, doesn't go into the storylines or other aspects of gameplay most of the time.  This results in shorter games with bad stories and I personally would rather see a good story in a game with mediocre graphics.  A good example of this is the Morrowind series, had to have played that game on the XBOX for 100+ hours one summer, it was pretty much all I did. Thats why I only play games that have infinate replay value, like FS (if you can call it a "game"), and the AOE series.

I traded a bunch of games in the other day and picked up God of War used, costed me nothing, in fact I still have almost $40.00 in store credit.

This game is pretty good, some of the best cut scenes I have ever seen in a console game, and there are naked boobs, which is a very cool thing.
The guys I know who couldn't wait to get their hands on this game and then cried about beating it in 9 hours must have been cheating their way through the whole thing because I have been playing it constantly for almost 2 days now and I'll bet I have at least 12+ hours of actual gameplay into it, there are areas I had to make many tries at to get past and some puzzles that took a while to work out.
Overall I would have to recommend this game to anyone who likes the running, jumping, swinging, killing type of game, but I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for it.
Good game though!

Yea, I am finding it hard to find games with more then 20 hours.... Half life 2 was like 30 or 40 first time through for me, then theres Star wars knights 2 wich is like 60 into, the morrowind I thinkt took me like 200+ hours (all expansions) but good games are becoming hard to find.... I am awaiting the HL2 expansion though, but 50 dollars for any game, typically I refuse to buy it and end up on ebay or some online store that is cheap with cheap shipping, Cheers, Gunny
