What is the best payware ai traffic package for FS9, my traffic or ultimate traffic.  I have downloaded a couple of project ai's packages, but because of my slow internet, it is going to take ages to get the lot. So i am looking for somthing that is all on a cd.

Thanks

Ultimate traffic is the one to go for ...... I installed it last week. Real airlines... Real scheduals and full airports if you can stand the frame rate hit  Grin

Ultimate Traffic is a huge file...300 mg. I think..so that will take a while even with CD's...so if they are going to put DSL in your area, within a reasonable time I would wait for that..it is the best....does dial up slow your FS down?

i haven't tested any traffic programs other than ultimate traffic, but i can surely say that i'm very happy with it. the configurator layout is very clean and simple as well and you get a good amount of options.  Smiley

I do have dial up, and it hasn't slowed down FS.  I don't do much multiplayer and stuff.

How much of a frame rate hit is there.  My system run FS2004 on low-medium settings with about 20FPS is that enough?

I was looking at MyTraffic2004 recently and read on their forums that, although some of their models aren't as detailed as UT, the frame rates you can achieve with them are better. Might be a good idea to check out the UT and MT forums to get an idea of what they are like.

depending on the size of the airport, running at 100% can be absolutely fine. i do it most of the time and frames are reasonable. i used to run 100% traffic at the big airports as well, the framerate wasn't exactly the greates but at the time i didn't care as long as i had millions of ai planes around me Grin

oh and of course it always depends on your system and settings. if you have a very high end pc, it shouldn't be a problem to run at 100% Smiley
