hi all i have created a pusher prop aircraft and i noticed in the sim that when you are in spot view looking forward from the back you can see through the right wing and see the retracted gear struts.  any ideas about how to stop this? (left wing can be seen as normal through the prop)

Are you using Gmax or FSDS?

One suggestion is to have your prop disk opaque, and use the alpha channel in the prop disk texture for the transparency.  This means that your prop disk would NOT be able to have reflective textures.

You can still use the alpha channel for shimmering reflections. Reduce the Opacity level from 100 to 99 under the Blinn Basic Parameters rollout. This should stop the parts from disappearing when you look through the prop.

Happens in FSDS2 though as well.

Probably a bug in FS.

Somebody should go and dig out the old "Mistakes in FS2004" thread again!
Best not, Pete doesn't like people resurrecting old threads.

Hi All
Another thing that Ive noticed(fsds),if you have transperent part linked to a solid part further up the list it causes the transperent part to be moved up the draw list. This drove me nuts for a while as all the other fixes didnt work, moved the linked solid parts to just above the transperent parts and bobs ya uncle it worked:)
Cheers
