AD2k2.dat ????? (Read 235 times)

I started witht he tutorial, and found it quite easy to use.

Went on to the portion where you create an actual flyable box, and upon compile, it said "Unable to locate AD2k2.dat"

This file does not exist on my computer...

And it wasn't a part of the AD2k2 download.

If anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I know I'm a newbie here at the forums, but i've beendownloading from simviation.com for years, since I first bought FS98.

Has anyone used Aircraft Designer before?

It is missing some files in the download.

The question I would pose is that since AD2K2 can only build for FS2002/2004 (without the limited eyecandy), why go for AD2k2 instead of gmax?

(If this were AD2000, the "original" then I'd see the point, since AD2K could also build for FS98/CFS1)

extreeme newb building stuff here. I've tried to play with 3d-max and gmax (for a short time) and couldn't grasp it well.

The tutorial with ad2k2 was quite to the point.

AD2k2.dat is missing, that's what the compile says when I try to make the model

lol im posting a question in your thread. how did you get the tutorial started? i find it kinda hard looking at random "alphabetical order" jpg's lol i cant find a button that starts it or runs it. Roll Eyes

Look for a DOC or HTM file & open it. I suspect the JPEGS are simply illustrations used in the main text.
