My good friend, you should have snatched it off that shelf for $19.99 Grin
I haven't seen CFS2 around these parts on anyone's shelf here in quite a while!

I've seen them in a few FutureShops around my part of the globe. Though, because it's from Futureshop, the prices are jacked up a few bucks or so. "Coverage costs", they call it.

Really expensive here, but worth it if you can't find it anywhere else. I just bought European Air War from them.

Try Ebay, I got my copy from there, saved around $15 but didn't come with a box. I dn't mind about that though because my boxes always get stuck in a cupboard never to be seen again.

For an old game, EAW really has strong legs.  IMHO, nobody has yet to surpass EAW for the immersion factor.  In EAW, you can have over 100 planes in the air without framerate hits.  I highly recommend anyone to pick this one up, in spite of it's age, it's worth it.  Also, here's a site where you can get EAW addons.

http://www.xmission.com/~mmagleby/eaw/

One really cool thing I like is as you're heading back over the channel after an escort mission, you can learn about other nearby bomber formations under attack, and head over there to lend a hand.  As far as I know, no other game on the market has such an immersive feature.

Dcunning I want to thank you for that translation to the English Language for Akemmis Website.

I agree with you that EAW is the most immersing Simulator ever. I have it and still fly in it often.

Its not better than CFS2,  but it does have its merits.

Do you now you do not have to be stuck with one theater of war either.

There are some other Campigns and theaters you can fly in as well.

I for one get bore if I have to fly in only in one Theater of war. Now thats extremy boring.

I like to fly in every Theater of war in World war two.
Thats the main reason I like CFS2 so much. It gives you that ability with the Mission Builder to do that.

Now you can do the same, some what like that with EAW as well. I do not consider it better, but it still a very good Simulator on its own right.

Here a website you can down load different campaigns for EAW.

Just for you Dcunning.

Enjoy but do come back!
