Is there any way to convert the cfs2 aircraft for use in cfs3? There is not much of a selection of aircraft for cfs3.

Unfortunately not. CFS3 uses a different system to the previous CFS and FS progams. There are actually quite a few developers out there. Try Avhistory and Ground Crew Design.

Over 100 aircraft available at these sites (all freeware). IMO more then makes up for the inablility to move aircraft between the two sims. Here are some other sites you should check out to:
