This concept, in a slightly different form, has actually sort of re-emerged recently (saw pix of a flying R/C prototype somewhere recently), but in this case it was a major flop. It was a prototype, but carried the designer's name and a model #. Anybody recognize this "airplane"? Hint: there's a class of (failed)aircraft designs that use the same basic principle, but more typically intended for helicopter-like flight.

It's the Schroeder S1 Cyclogyro: circa 1930.
Calling the image rotcyclogyro.jpg was somewhat of a dead give away.

Come to think of it, your last five tests have had give aways in the image name.
You might want to get that looked at, it could be contagious.

Gives ya the link and everything. Pretty spiffy, eh?

Here's an idea, name it after some other ancient plane to send people looking at that in the wrong direction, now that would be funny.
