I keep failing this on the 360 degree steep turn to the left.  What the heck am I supposed to do?  I've tried it SO many times, I have over like 100 flight hours on this game just in the last 3 months, so I know what I'm doing for the most part, but I just can't pass this one, I've already passed the intstrument and commercial checkrides, but this one just wont let me go.  What specifically is the lady telling me to do?  I'm lost....

Welcome Steveasy Grin

I've had something like 200h on my sim and have never passed that test.  Stuff it.  I just don't bother.  But maybe it's your bank angle, if you are just a little to shallow or steep then you will fail.  However I've heard in real life this is completely unreaistic.  Instructors look for good flying skills, but mainly look for good airmanship.  Like learning from mistakes and stuff like that.

Hi steveasy & Chris M,

This was posted in ths FS2004 forum & it's might be worth a look:

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=COF;action=display;num=111...

Obviously I have no idea if this is the same problem as FS2002, but I thought it might be helpful.

I've also seen a lot of posts saying how unrealistic the checkride is (not to mention difficult).

Cheers,

TSC.

That link was useful in respect of the steepturn but sends you out on the wrong heading it should be 120 not 150  that the article states the airfield is to the right of the bridge.
my tip is start the steepturn @ 2100ft, bank into the turn add full power and make minor adjustments as and when needed, roll out quickly  ive done this twice now after failing numerous times, only had to do it a second time because took ms heading of 150 and landed @ wrong airfield
                        good luck
