Cheats in FS?! What a thought.
No, seriously Ashar, since FS is an attempt at a simulator (rather than a 'game') then the intention is to make it 'as real as it gets' (where have you heard that before). In other words there aren't any cheats as such, and I'm not really sure how there could be. There are various settings for realism, weather etc. etc. but if an easy fly is what people want, then I guess they'd go buy a game where the intention is not to fly as such, but to fly somewhere and shoot somebody.
Sorry, you CFS guys!

...mmm....I suppose in a way there are loads of "Cheats" built into Fs. They are legit cheats though..Slew Mode for one...Unlimited Fuel for another. You can fly through objects without damage and more, which in other games would be deemed cheats . Only flying with full realism is not cheating in some way...IMHO...commoner

What's all this? I would never do a thing like that.
The word Cheats is much misunderstood & has caused many bitter arguments in the past, especially among Multiplayer enthusiasts. All it really means is something built into the sim & probably originally used for developing & testing it. These were then disabled before general release but can be reactivated if you know the correct CFG entries. For an example, CFS has some Cheats like the bomb_trainer & allow_slew that can be very useful for 3rd pary developers like me. They're added to CFS2.cfg under a [CHEATS] header. I don't know any for FS but I suppose things like the [OLDMODULES] tweak could be regarded as Cheats.

Cheat's wouldn't be an appropriate word. More like "Changing Options To Make Flying Alot Less Simpler Than The PITA It Usually Is In Real Life".
Cheers,
Ashar
