afcad is the utility created by Lee Swordy to add parking, taxiways and such for parking of airports.

well, just google AFCAD. or you can use an older version provded here on SimV

it takes a little bit of learning, but once you get hte hang of it, its quite easy. the tutorial is very good on how to learn.

AFCAD'er beware, the autogen scenery will still be there, you need some polygon exclude thingy (which i don't know yet) to remove the atuogen scenery. AFCAD only works with the airport it's self, not the buildings and everything.

also, you need to know the lat & long of where you airport will go.

use these links to help you out

Airnav - to find a good ICAO name not used yet
http://www.airnav.com/

Microsoft Terraserver - to see your location
http://terraserver.microsoft.com/

Lat & long conversions, for when you have the coordinates on the terraserver, you need to convert them for AFCAD
http://www.directionsmag.com/latlong.php

for the scenery pat, i'm still stuck.

Lee Swordy not only created the best FREE, MSFS addons  -- AFCAD and TTOOLS -- he also writes the best user manuals which are bundled with the software d/l.

May I suggest having the manuals's links on your desktop for easy access. Good Luck and have fun!

AFCAD can also be used to edit hold short positions starting positions and you can add or remove taxiways.   8)

and build new runways, ramps, helipads, taxiways, lights, VOR's, NDB's, ILS's, tower viewpoints, start loactions, and a bunch of other things as well.

i've yet to find a time to use the ILS critical hold short. when i'm flying i mean, i never get called to hold short at the ILS area. how about u guys?

**EDIT** oh btw, you don't get the taxiway signs, thats a scenery thing (saddening isn't it?)

There's a relatively obscure search engine named google.com

type 'afcad' or 'ttools' into the seach window then click the search button and copious amounts of  sites will magically appear.

p.s. if you can't find google.com, it's HERE
